Show Cue System is a professional software application designed to be used mainly in live theaters in order to help you assemble all audio, video and image cues in a specific order.

User interface

The GUI may seem a bit overwhelming at a first glance but this is only because the tool comes with plenty of features to experiment with.

It reads a list of cues and sub-cues from a user-defined SCS cue file and reveals detailed information about cue, page, description, cue type, state, activation, file type, length and device. Plus, you can start, resume or stop all cues.

Support for different types of cues

Show Cue System lets you work with different types of cues, such as audio (set start and end points, loop points, volume and pan, fade-in and fade-out times, and output device selection), video/image (set start and end points, loop points, volume and pan, fade-in and fade-out times, and output device selection, as well as apply cross-fades between images), and playlist (play a list of audio files either consecutively or randomly).

Plus, you can work with level change cues (change the volume and/or pan of an earlier cue over a specified period of time) or other ones related to SFR (stop, fade out and stop or loop release an earlier cue or multiple cues), note (add markers or reminders at selected points in your cue list), memo (display information about non-cue activity), ‘Go To’ (jump to a new position within a currently playing cue), 'Set Position' (set up loops of cues), and control send (Send MIDI, RS232 or Telnet messages to other devices).

Last but not least, you may enable MTC (MIDI Time Code) for sending MTC messages, and enable live input cues (accept live input from mics and instruments), and 'Run External Program' cues (start an external program such as PowerPoint).

Built-in cue editor

Show Cue System features a built-in cue editor that allows you to play a list of tracks in a specific order or randomly, apply cross-fading and various transitions, stop or fade out the entire playlist, as well as set the desired volume, pan, length, and speaker selection for each cue.

Furthermore, you can use hot keys to play them at any time, dynamically adjust cue levels, send MIDI control messages, and play video files via a video projector or separate monitor (you can use up to four projectors).

Compared to the main interface, the SCS editor is not quite intuitive, so you may need some extra time to get used to working with the editing parameters.

Building up a cue list

Creating a new cue list can be done by providing general information about the name of the production, cue label increment, default fade-in and out time for new audio file cues, and default loop cross-fade time for new audio file cue loops.

Additionally, you are allowed to set up audio output devices, control send devices, enable cue control from external equipment, work with time profiles for time-based cues, and alter run time settings (e.g. run mode, visual warning, maximum audio level, master fader level).

In order to complete the process, you need to add cues, be they audio files (e.g. WAV, MP3, WMA, AAC, OGG) or videos (e.g. AVI, WMF, ASF, MP4), insert SFR cues, and import cues from a CSV file. Undo/redo your actions is a feature included in the package. Passwordspro for mac.

Power users may jump to the configuration panel from where they can alter the display mode, cue list columns, audio and video driver settings, and shortcuts.

Bottom line

To sum it up, Show Cue System comes with an impressive suite of features in order to help you tweak sound effects and track playback for live music production automation. However, the GUI is not quite intuitive, so this tool is specifically geared toward professional users.

Intraday Trading using Gann square of 9 Calculator Gann square of 9 calculator is used to generate support and resistance levels for intraday trading. The Static Square of 9 tool calculates price levels according to degree levels – or aspects – of the Square of 9 wheel, starting with 1 in the center. When the Static Square of 9 tool is applied to the chart (with a Price Unit of 1 – more about that later) the first 360 degree level will be 11, the second will be 28, the third 53, etc. Looking at the classic Square of 9 wheel you will see where these numbers appear: all are on the horizontal line to the left of the center value of 1. As each number is one complete revolution around the Square of 9 from the previous number they are said to be 360 degrees apart. Similarly, the 180 degree levels are half way around from the center starting point and directly opposite the 360 degree levels, i.e. 6, 19, 40, etc. Whilst they are 360 degrees apart from each other they are 180 degrees from the center. You will see the relationship between the classic Square of 9 wheel and the levels in the tool in this image:

The Square of 9 chart is also known as a square root calculator: pick a number on the chart, take the square root, add two, and re-square. You will see the value will be the next number around the wheel.

Example:
square root of 79 = 8.888
8.888 + 2 = 10.888
10.888 x 10.888 = 118.548

[Note: to calculate 180 degrees around the wheel add 1 to the square root before re-squaring, 90 degrees add 0.5, etc.]

This is why the distance between each successive level is never the same: each subsequent rotation around the wheel is further to travel, so for example, the distance between the 360 degree levels grows wider and wider with each revolution. This is why the distance between the 1st and 2nd 360 degree level is 17 (28 – 11) but from 3rd to 2nd the distance is 25.

Many Gann analysts use the degree levels as potential support and resistance points in the market, and they can work for any instrument in any time frame. The image below shows the Australian Dollar / US Dollar currency pair on a weekly chart, with the Static Square of 9 applied. The degree levels used are semi-square, or every 45 degrees (i.e. 45, 90, 135, 180, 225, 270, 315 and 360 degrees). As you can see, the chart has respected these levels on multiple occasions. In fact, at the time of this writing, the 225 degree level at $0.73 is proving to be a level of support.

Using the Price Unit

One important thing to remember is that the settings for the Square of 9 tool – and all Optuma tools for that matter – can be set by the user to their own specifications, whether the degree levels, the line colours, and perhaps most importantly the Price Unit. This crucial property is found in many Gann tools and it’s important to find the right value for the particular chart being analysed. In the currency chart above for example, using a Price Unit of 1 will not work on a chart trading in the $1 range with small increments. By setting the Price Unit property to 0.01, it recalculates the levels divided by 100, so that the first 360 revolution will be at 0.11 instead of 11, and the 180 degree line mentioned earlier at 1.06 is the equivalent of 106 on the wheel (as seen in Figure 1).

The software will try to select the appropriate price unit by default, but this can be manually adjusted via the tool’s Properties panel.

Going Dynamic

A variation of this tool is the Dynamic Square of 9, which, instead of looking at angles from the center square (ie 1), uses a user-defined value instead. For example, applying the tool on the low of McDonald’s in August 2015 (see chart below) shows the degree levels starting from $87.50, with the first 360 degree level at $128.92 showing resistance, and the current all-time of $178.70 being only a few cents above the second 360 revolution around the wheel from 87.5. One other important feature of the dynamic tool is that it also works from a high going in the opposite direction, predicting potential support levels or targets. If you apply the tool to a significant high then click a second time below the level of the first click it will calculate the descending levels. The next example shows the high of Tesla at $389 with the Dynamic Square of 9 tool calculating significant support and resistance levels at descending 90 degree increments. By looking at the Square of 9 wheel you will see that the major low at $247 is exactly two 360 degree revolutions inside 389.

With the release of macOS 10.13 High Sierra, you’re probably wondering whether your Adobe software will work in the new Mac operating system.

With every macOS upgrade, full information about compatibility is typically not available on the day the new system is released or even shortly after. More information emerges over time, especially as Apple, Adobe, and other software developers test with the final public release and produce updates with fixes. I’ll update this article as new information comes out.

If you use your Mac to run a business or another activity where you can’t afford to lose productivity, do not upgrade to High Sierra until you’ve made plans to fully recover your previous configuration if things don’t work out. (That applies to any operating system upgrade on any device.) Wait until you are confident that all of your software and hardware is compatible, then back up everything, then upgrade.

To make the best use of my time and yours, I focus on verified reports or reports acknowledged by Adobe, and generally avoid repeating random anecdotes. But I do mention my own experiences.

The next section is about recent Creative Cloud versions. If you’re looking for information about older versions, jump to:

Note: On October 18, 2017, Adobe announced the 2018 release of Creative Cloud applications and made them available for download. These are the most compatible with High Sierra.

Adobe typically publishes compatibility information after they have had a chance to test with the version actually released to the public, so expect this section to be updated over time. Here is what’s known so far:

Adobe has posted a document covering High Sierra compatibility with Adobe Creative Cloud applications in general (macOS High Sierra (10.13) compatibility FAQ Creative Cloud). It links to a number of application-specific documents which I’ve also linked to below.

Adobe Photoshop

The Photoshop team posted the document Photoshop and High Sierra macOS 10.13 listing the issues they’re aware of.

If the High Sierra upgrade converted your boot volume’s file system to the new APFS file system, in Photoshop CC 2017 or earlier you won’t be able to assign your boot volume as a scratch disk in the Scratch Disks section of the Preferences dialog box. This is fixed in the 2018 release of Photoshop CC.

However, it lists only one issue; to see other issues discovered and being discussed visit the official Lightroom Classic CC Feedback page. If you are running Lightroom 1–5, you may also want to review the Adobe compatibility document for macOS Sierra (Lightroom and Sierra macOS 10.12), because older versions of Lightroom have several known compatibility problems with macOS 10.12 Sierra and later.

Victoria Bampton (the “Lightroom Queen”) also has information (Lightroom and macOS High Sierra Compatibility), about current and older versions of Lightroom. Some of the issues may be fixed in Lightroom Classic CC.

Some Lightroom presets may fail to sort in alphabetical order in High Sierra; Adobe has acknowledged this issue at feedback.photoshop.com. This is at least partially fixed in Lightroom 6.13 and in Lightroom Classic CC (7).

For a few users (not all), Lightroom 6/CC 2015 crashes on launch in High Sierra. Some have been able to resolve this by adjusting permissions on the Lightroom application folder.

The Illustrator team posted a compatibility document (Illustrator and High Sierra). It lists issues with APFS, color management default settings, and GPU rendering. Some of those problems are fixed in the 2018 release of Adobe Illustrator CC.

Adobe InDesign CC 2017

The InDesign team has posted a compatibility document (InDesign and High Sierra compatibility).

There was a widely reported visual problem with the mouse pointer in Adobe InDesign on High Sierra. Investigation by Adobe and Apple revealed this to be an Apple bug. It’s fixed in the macOS 10.13 Supplemental Update which became available on October 5, 2017. Install it from the Mac App Store, Updates tab; or from the link above.

Adobe Premiere Pro

While there’s no published document about High Sierra compatibility that I know of, an Adobe representative said, in a post on the Adobe Forums:

I talked to product management. You should be good to go with macOS High Sierra right now. As an editor, I would not change the OS if I was in the middle of an important project, however.

While not specific to High Sierra, one issue that may affect Mac users is that in Premiere Pro CC 12.1 or later, Adobe no longer supports Apple QuickTime 7 era codecs that were deprecated by Apple back in 2013. However, those codecs still turn up in a lot of places so people (like me) are finding problems with those clips may no longer work properly in Premiere Pro. The only workaround at this time is to use the Creative Cloud desktop application to uninstall Premiere Pro CC 12.1 and reinstall version 12.0.1.

Adobe After Effects

The After Effects team has posted a compatibility document (Known issues in After Effects CC (15.1)).

Older versions of Adobe software (CS3–CS6)

Adobe software older than the Creative Cloud (CC) versions are not officially supported on macOS 10.13 High Sierra. That doesn’t necessarily mean they won’t work; it just means that if those old versions have any new issues related to macOS 10.13 High Sierra, there won’t be any updates to address them (in other words, the only version with the High Sierra fixes will be the current version).

I have upgraded my test Mac to the release version of High Sierra. Based on some quick tests I did, Adobe applications before CS6 do not run as smoothly as they did in earlier versions of macOS/OS X. The CS3–CS5 applications seem particularly risky to me.

There are more hoops to jump through to get the installers to work (see below), and I’m having trouble getting some installers to accept serial numbers they accepted in Sierra. While I can install and run Photoshop CS3 and CS4, some of the older CS3/CS4 applications like Illustrator and InDesign aren’t starting up properly for me. CS5 applications run better, but some were crashing after I quit normally. High Sierra is the first macOS version where I really think it’s time for CS3–CS5 users to move on; the code in CS3 is a decade old at this point.

Forcing Any LoL Language Luckily, it’s not like League’s client forgets languages that do not fit your server. With a bit of simple file manipulation, we can make the client run in any language regardless of the server. There are two methods of breaking the LoL language boundaries. While the shortcut method is superior, I’m keeping the notepad method for self-troubleshooting purposes. NB: the Korean client is accessible only through the shortcut method. Such tools are not illegal as long as they merely edit the two config lines but anything else may put your account in jeopardy. Use third-party language tools at your own risk! The most up-to-date tool is an open-source solution by Collin McKinney. The interface of his LeagueLocaleLauncher has exactly two lines, and it also supports the Chinese language. The tool is currently in the clear, but keep the risk of getting banned in mind! Change LoL Voiceover but Not Text Unfortunately, it’s currently impossible to opt for a different voiceover but keep the text in your native tongue. Even a software solution probably won’t work, as pointed out by Collin McKinney. Then again, why not take the chance to pick up some Japanese?
